There are a lot of Cassorlas and Ergases in Santiago de Chile. I did not have time to investigate when I was there last year.

- *[??] Cassorla - m. *[??] Behar
  This sister of Issac Cassorla was referred to only as "Behar" and along with her husband and an adopted son perished in the war, as they did not leave Monastir.
- *Issac Cassorla - m. *Rachael Ergas
  Rachael was one of many children of Michon Ergas and Clara Camhi of Monastir .
  Rachael's brother Jack married, Gracie Confino, sister of Rachael's son-in-law, Marcel Confino.
  Issac & Rachael Cassorla came to Rochester in about 1914-15ce from Monastir. Issac and Rachael initially worked in the clothing industry in Rochester but soon opened their grocery store. In 1952, records show that Issac was self-employed.
  Rachael and Issac had four children: "Red" (Gabriel), Morris, Hannah (Anne) and Joseph.

    Sara was a daughter of Streya (Estrella) and Shabetay Baker; Streya was a sister of Matil Colonomos Aroesty, wife of Nissim (ben Menachem) Aroesty.
    Red lives in Rochester and is still working at Central Wholesale - the family grocery business.

    Marcel (a Sefaradí of Bulgaria) settled in Rochester. Marcel's sister Gracie Confino, married Jack Ergas. Thus, she is sister-in-law to his mother-in-law Rachael Ergas Cassorla.
