	Elie Rafael Fraggi Family This section—dedicated to the memories of the Faraggi family of Monastir and its descendants around the world —was compiled July 2002ce from material researched by, and provided by Moshe Elie Faraggi, and included here with his permission. We begin with his narrative:   Our family history in Monastir starts with Elie Rafael Fraggi who came to Monastir in CA 1874 from Volos Greece with his second wife Olga Sidis and two sons—Joseph (from his first wife) and Isaac (from his second wife). [By virtue of knowing his full name, we also know that his father's name was Rafael, but nothing else. 	Rafael Fraggi -m. [??] Rafael Fraggi's son Elie had two wives. Elia Raffael Fraggi (Faraggi) lived in Monastir since 1872/3. He was a lawyer and the president of the Alliance Francaise Universelle in Monastir. (Between 1864 to 1872 he lived in Volos Greece.) Elia Raffael signed his name as Fraggi. I have many letters from him sent to the Alliance Israelite Universelle in Paris. However, sometimes he wrote his name as Faragi or even Faraggi. In any case since the beginning of the 20th century his descendants used Faraggi as their family name. Elie/Elia Rafael Fraggi -m. (1) [??] Joseph Elie Fraggi Elie Rafael Fraggi -m.
