Mató was a daughter of Rephael Kamhi.
This couple met and married in the US.
They had come to the US separately with their families in the wave of emigration of 1912ce, sparked by the Balkan War.
They had five children:

Betty.
The family settled on Allen Street (103) in the Lower East Side of Manhattan, then moved to New Lots when Ralph was 12 years old.

Sarah was a daughter of Bohor Alboher and Esther (neé Albaranes). Esther's brother was YomTov Albaranes.
Sarah was afflicted by the deadly form of lupus, passed away at the young age of 32.

Ralph was a contractor in ladies wear all his career.
In the 1970s his last business was in partnership with a Chinese woman, in a factory on Broome and Mott;
All their workers were Chinese women (about 70).

After the sudden passing of her first husband, Betty was encouraged by her friend Betty Nahmias to meet her friend's nephew, Ralph Hasson.
He had been widowed by the early passing of his first wife, and had two daughters.
Betty is a daughter of Bohora Yousha and David BenYakar.
According to them, it was love at first sight.
One day, on a hospital visit to her ill mother, Betty's mother told her to have a child.
